Teaching and Learning Concentration

A concentration in Teaching and Learning requires additional advanced coursework on the theories and practices of teaching and learning as they inform anti-oppressive educational practices.  This concentration is ideal for students interested in both formal and informal education roles inclusive of classroom teaching, school counseling, education interventionists and therapists, museum and enrichment education, organizational training, and related graduate-level studies. Several of the following courses also require practicum hours in field placement inclusive of observation and co-teaching in practicum. The advanced research course must be informed by coursework in the concentration and the internship experience. Additional coursework is required for teacher licensure.
