Rick Todd began working in the Fire Protection Industry in 1969, and he has been with
Fire Defense since 1989. He and his wife Sharon have been happily married since 1966,
and they have two adult sons who make them very proud.
Fire Defense Equipment Co., Inc. was established in the City of Detroit in 1949. 2009 marks our 60th Anniversary of serving businesses of all shapes and sizes in the Greater Metro-Detroit Area. We design, engineer, install, and service all commercial & industrial fire protection systems from fire alarms to fire suppression, fire extinguishers, sprinkler systems, emergency-exit lights, & even the fusible links on your doors. We’ve completed installations from Canada to Mexico, from the State of Washington to Florida, and almost everywhere in between. Our fire engine red service trucks can be seen on the road daily, and we have over 30 of the finest employees in the Great State of Michigan. Additionally, we also have an on-site Propane Center where you can pull into our shop with your motor home or other tanks and get them filled up correctly.
