Marianne Balogh, Seamstress

Marianne is a professional seamstress who wants to be your personal seamstress. She has owned her own home based sewing business since 1988 and has been sewing since elementary school. Alterations on store bought garments are the most requested items, but Marianne also does custom sewing and teaches sewing from her home as well as the Rochester Jo-Ann Fabrics store. If you need a one-of-a-kind garment she can sew it for you. Bridesmaid dresses, mother of the bride/groom gowns, Prom & Homecoming dresses, theatrical and Halloween costumes, seat cushions for outdoor furniture and home décor are good referrals for her. Marianne continues to update her sewing skills by taking classes at The American Sewing Expo and workshops at Oakland University. Marianne is a member of the American Sewing Guild and was the President of the Detroit Chapter for the past 4 1/2 years. Look for her article in Twist Magazine, a publication of the Detroit Free press April 8, 2007.
